Assistant Vice President, Revenue Cycle Systems

About the role

The Assistant Vice President, Revenue Cycle Systems is a senior member of the University of Miami Information Technology executive team. This role leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of complex healthcare revenue cycle systems, including Epic, across multiple service lines to enhance performance and the consumer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead full‑cycle IT revenue‑cycle transformation projects from assessment through go‑live support.
• Apply data‑driven analytics and industry best practices to shape strategic plans and quality‑improvement programs.
• Oversee large‑scale revenue‑cycle improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance, financial soundness, and operational effectiveness.
• Consult with clinical and operational teams to optimize scheduling, coding, billing, denial management, and collections.
• Contribute to IT Service Management strategy and service‑delivery capabilities across the organization.
