Assistant Technical Designer

About the role

SKIMS is seeking a highly organized, detail‑oriented Assistant Technical Designer to support the Technical Design team throughout product development and production. This early‑career role offers the chance to work on innovative apparel while collaborating with design, product development, production, and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Technical Design team throughout the product development and production lifecycle, from prototype to final approval.
• Create, update, and maintain technical packages with measurements, construction details, and fit comments.
• Prepare garments and documentation for fit sessions, capture fit feedback, and track sample revisions.
• Maintain accurate technical information in PLM and other internal systems, including tech packs and fit history.
• Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Production, Merchandising, and external vendors to ensure product consistency and timely approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Product Development, Apparel Production, or a related field (preferred).
• 1–2 years of experience in technical design, product development, or apparel production, including relevant internships.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, fit, measurements, and grading.

• Experience with PLM systems
