About the role
The Assistant Team Leader supports the Store Team Leader in delivering a clean, well‑organized store environment and a customer‑first culture at pOpshelf. This role combines hands‑on merchandising, cash handling, and team supervision to drive sales and ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
Key responsibilities
- Provide superior customer service, greet shoppers, and operate the cash register and scanner.
- Assist the Store Team Leader with supervising store employees and managing daily operations.
- Maintain product knowledge and apply selling techniques to enhance the customer experience.
- Execute merchandising guidelines, rotate products, and create eye‑catching displays.
- Maintain daily and weekly cleaning checklists to ensure a tidy store.
- Support store team education on product features and promotions.
- Handle paperwork, deposits, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Required profile
- Strong focus on customer service and store presentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Store Team Leader and store staff.
- Reliability in performing cash handling and administrative duties.
