Assistant Supervising Attorney – Denver Housing Unit

About the role

The Denver Housing Unit seeks an Assistant Supervising Attorney to lead the Adams team, supporting low‑income tenants and preventing homelessness. This role reports to the Supervising Attorney and balances case work with team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Guide legal work alongside the Supervising Attorney and oversee staff workloads.
• Assist in staff training, performance evaluation, and professional development.
• Contribute to strategic planning, goal setting, and systemic housing initiatives.
• Lead hiring for the team and support unit‑wide recruitment.
• Manage grant‑related activities, including clinic supervision and reporting.

Required profile

• Active Colorado law license or ability to obtain one promptly.
• Experience in housing law representing tenants.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
