Assistant Superintendent – Multifamily Construction

About the role

Greystar is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support a multifamily wrap project in the Nashville area. The role assists in delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review blueprints and specifications, inspect work, and oversee contractors to ensure compliance with design and safety requirements.
• Assist with project budgeting by reviewing, reconciling, and approving vendor and contractor invoices, and analyzing financial statements.
• Monitor the project schedule, prioritize tasks, and recommend solutions to address delays caused by weather or design changes.
• Track on‑site manpower, adjust staffing levels as needed, and ensure work meets safety standards.
• Prepare routine progress reports and communicate updates to business leaders and stakeholders.
• Support the assembly of the on‑site construction team, including selection and coordination of subcontractors.

Required profile

• Experience in residential or multifamily construction environments.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of construction budgeting and invoice processing.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for reporting to project leaders.
