Assistant Superintendent – Construction

About the role

Path Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the day‑to‑day operations of commercial construction projects in the Chicago area. You will work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and the project team to ensure safety, schedule adherence, cost control, and high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of subcontractors and suppliers on site.
• Monitor and enforce site safety protocols and OSHA compliance.
• Manage scheduling, RFIs, and change orders.
• Track project costs, budgets, and cost‑control measures.
• Maintain quality standards and conduct inspections.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of building and construction management experience.
• OSHA site safety experience and a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 30 lb.
• Strong work ethic, team orientation, and desire to grow with the company.

Required skills

• OSHA 30‑hour training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with SAGE 300 CRE.
• LEED project experience.
• Scheduling software proficiency.
• Estimating experience (preferred).
