Assistant Superintendent – Commercial Construction

About the role

Clark is looking for a motivated Assistant Superintendent to support field leadership on commercial construction projects across Southeast Michigan. Based in Auburn Hills, you will work directly with the Superintendent to keep sites safe, on schedule, and delivering high‑quality results.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating short‑term (2‑4 week) jobsite activities and communicate plans with trade contractors.
• Support development and maintenance of the project schedule, including three‑week look‑ahead planning.
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure alignment with timelines and project requirements.
• Facilitate timely approvals and documentation with architects, engineers, and governing authorities.
• Uphold jobsite safety, quality, environmental standards, and cleanliness.
• Maintain detailed daily reports documenting site activity, progress, and key events.
• Track labor hours and submit trade hours and labor reports as required.
• Participate in and help lead onsite coordination and progress meetings.

Required profile

• Preferred 5+ years of experience in a Superintendent or similar field role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
