Assistant Store Manager

About the role

Marshalls is seeking an Assistant Store Manager who will help create an inclusive, high‑energy environment for both customers and associates. You will support the Store Manager in driving sales, controlling expenses, and ensuring smooth daily operations across all store functions.

Key responsibilities

• Support store performance by monitoring sales, expenses, merchandising, back‑room, cash office, markdowns, scheduling, shipping and receiving.
• Minimize shrink and damages through loss‑prevention initiatives.
• Recruit, train, and develop associates, acting as a mentor and role model.
• Communicate and execute action plans for company initiatives, projects, and store changes.
• Implement strategies to meet sales, expense, and customer‑service targets.
• Coordinate loss‑prevention and operational programs, improving store layout and efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to give effective feedback.
• Experience in store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health & safety, and loss prevention.
