About the role
The University of Miami/UHealth Department of SCCC seeks a full‑time Assistant Scientist to advance myeloma research, contribute to scientific publications, and support the university’s research mission.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to basic and applied research and author scientific publications, technical reports, and patent preparations.
- Design, conduct, and analyze experiments related to myeloma research.
- Collaborate with senior staff to publish findings in refereed journals.
- Write extramural grant proposals and assist with grant applications.
- Request and manage equipment and supplies for assigned projects.
Required profile
- Doctorate (PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant research experience.
- Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Required skills
- Learning agility to acquire new protocols quickly.
- Teamwork and collaboration with multidisciplinary researchers.
- Technical proficiency with office software and scientific applications.
- Clear communication for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
