Assistant Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of complex commercial construction projects from pre‑construction through close‑out. You will work closely with Project Managers and field leadership, handling documentation, scheduling, procurement and client communication while gaining exposure to all phases of project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in day‑to‑day management of multiple commercial construction projects.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders and maintain project documentation.
• Track budgets, commitments, cost reports and forecasting.
• Support subcontractor buyout, contract administration and procurement activities.
• Schedule material deliveries and monitor long‑lead items.
• Attend owner, architect and subcontractor meetings, documenting minutes and action items.
• Work with Superintendents to monitor progress, resolve field issues and keep schedules on track.
• Review drawings and specifications for constructability concerns.
• Assist with project scheduling, milestone tracking and monthly reporting.
• Support quality‑control, safety initiatives and project close‑out activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Experience on ground‑up or large‑scale renovation projects.
• Understanding of project‑management processes such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement and budgeting.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Procore.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 or similar construction‑management software.
