Assistant Project Manager – Construction

About the role

As an Assistant Project Manager at CEG Solutions, you will work alongside experienced project managers to deliver complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) projects for federal, state, and institutional clients. You will gain end‑to‑end exposure to Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC) and help transform existing buildings into high‑performing facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Drive projects to completion on budget, schedule, and specifications.
• Oversee implementation of Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) in the field.
• Manage subcontractors, review contracts, and track project financials.
• Lead design coordination, including schedules, RFIs, review meetings, and action items.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Enforce safety, code compliance, and quality standards on every site.
• Review measurement & verification plans, commissioning protocols, and O&M handoffs.
• Support business development during project pursuit and delivery.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in construction project management or project engineering.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering, construction management, or related field (relevant experience may substitute).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑starter with sharp problem‑solving instincts and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including after‑hours implementations.
• OSHA‑30 certification is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Primavera, Procore, or similar).
• Working knowledge of MEP, HVAC, solar, BAS, or other building systems.
