Assistant Professor – Thoracic Imaging (Junior Rank)

About the role

The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine seeks multiple Assistant Professors on the non‑tenure academic clinician track to join our thoracic imaging team. This junior‑rank faculty position combines clinical service, teaching, and research opportunities within a leading academic health system.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise residents and cardiothoracic imaging fellows in daily clinical activities.
• Deliver lectures and seminars to medical students, radiology residents, fellows, and interdisciplinary trainees.
• Interpret chest radiographs, thoracic CT, and thoracic MRI studies.
• Perform thoracic needle biopsies (preferred) and optionally participate in cardiovascular CT/MRI practice.
• Share after‑hours and weekend on‑call coverage across affiliated hospitals and imaging centers.

Required profile

• MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent) degree.
• American Board of Radiology certification or eligibility.
• Sub‑specialty training in Cardiothoracic Radiology.
• Interest in academic medicine and junior‑rank faculty development.

Required skills

• Chest radiograph interpretation.
• Thoracic CT interpretation.
• Thoracic MRI interpretation.
• Thoracic needle biopsy technique.
• Cardiovascular CT and MRI (optional).
