Assistant Professor of Social Work

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock seeks an Assistant Professor of Social Work to join its School of Social Work. This full‑time, fixed‑term faculty member will contribute to both undergraduate and graduate programs through teaching, advising, and scholarly activity.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in social work.
• Advise BSW and MSW students on academic progress and career planning.
• Maintain an active research agenda, including grant‑funded projects and scholarly publications.
• Engage in community service at local, state, and national levels.

Required profile

• MSW from a CSWE‑accredited program.
• Doctoral degree in Social Work or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor students.

Required skills

• Knowledge of social work theory and practice.
• Research methodology and scholarly writing.
