Assistant Professor of Public Administration

About the role

Texas A&M International University seeks an Assistant Professor of Public Administration to join its Department of Social Sciences beginning Fall 2027. This tenure‑track position involves teaching, research, and service within a NASPAA‑accredited Master of Public Administration program.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Public Administration, Political Science, and research methods.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Participate in governance of the MPA program and serve on departmental, college, university, and professional committees.
• Mentor and advise students at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Required profile

• PhD (or ABD with degree earned by 16 August 2027) in Public Administration or a related field.
• Strong research record or potential, especially in program evaluation and public policy.
• Demonstrated teaching ability in research methods and related subjects.
• Experience or potential to secure external grant funding.
