Assistant Professor of Management & Leadership (Entrepreneurship)

About the role

Monmouth University’s Leon Hess Business School seeks an Assistant Professor to teach Management and Leadership with a focus on Entrepreneurship. The position is full‑time, on‑campus, and supports both undergraduate and graduate programs.

Key responsibilities

• Teach approximately 12 credit hours per semester across management, leadership, and entrepreneurship courses.
• Develop and update curricula that reflect current business practices and research.
• Mentor and advise a diverse student body, supporting their academic and professional growth.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish in reputable journals.
• Build and maintain business partnerships to enhance experiential learning opportunities.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree in entrepreneurship or a related field from an AACSB‑accredited institution (ABD candidates considered).
• Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Evidence of scholarly activity such as publications or conference presentations.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations.
• Practical experience in entrepreneurship (preferred).
• Knowledge of strategic leadership, hospitality management, and/or franchising (preferred).
