About the role

The College of Liberal Arts at Texas A&M University‑Corpus Christi seeks a tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice to begin in Fall 2027. The position involves a 3‑3 course load per academic year with research and service expectations.

Key responsibilities

Teach undergraduate courses across the Criminal Justice curriculum, including introductory classes in corrections, courts, law enforcement, criminology, and research methods.
Contribute to the newly established Forensic Investigations interdisciplinary minor and collaborate with faculty in a team environment.

Required profile

Doctoral degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a closely related discipline (ABD candidates considered if degree is conferred at appointment).
Demonstrated active research agenda with potential for peer‑reviewed publications.

Required skills

Ability to teach in classroom, hybrid, and online formats.
Commitment to excellence in teaching, student mentoring, and service.
