Assistant Professor of Computer Science (Mobile Device Forensics)

About the role

Texas A&M International University seeks a tenure‑track Assistant Professor in Computer Science with a focus on Mobile Device Forensics to start in Fall 2027. The position supports research development with a reduced teaching load and involves building an independent, externally funded research program.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead an externally funded research program in mobile device forensics.
• Develop and manage the School’s Cyber Forensics Laboratory.
• Teach Mobile Device Forensics and related cyber‑forensics courses for the BS in Computer Science.
• Mentor student research projects, senior design, and supervise graduate work.
• Participate in recruitment, accreditation activities, and service to the School.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field by the start date.
• Demonstrated expertise in mobile device forensics through research, scholarship, or professional experience.
• Ability to develop laboratory activities and secure external research funding.
• Experience collaborating with industry or government partners is desirable.
