Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics – Neonatology

About the role

The Division of Neonatology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking an Assistant Professor to join its leading academic neonatal/perinatal center. The role combines clinical care, teaching, and research in a state‑of‑the‑art environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 neonatal attending coverage across Jackson Hospital locations.
• Offer antenatal consultations for high‑risk pregnancies and stabilize infants in the delivery room.
• Conduct daily rounds on patients in all neonatal units.
• Participate in administrative duties within the division and Newborn Service.
• Teach residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Develop and lead original clinical or translational research, seeking extramural funding.

Required profile

• Active Florida medical license.
• Board certification in Pediatrics.
• Neonatal board eligibility or substantial neonatal experience (preferred).
• Current BLS certification.
