Assistant Professor, Nursing Practice

About the role

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Texas A&M University‑Corpus Christi seeks a tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Nursing Practice to begin in Fall 2027. This 9‑month appointment involves on‑campus teaching, research, and service.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing courses, including clinical and simulation components.
• Develop and maintain an active research program, seek external funding, and disseminate findings through publications and presentations.
• Provide student mentorship, advising, recruitment, and supervise DNP student projects.
• Participate in college, university, and professional service activities and committees.

Required profile

• Research‑focused PhD in Nursing from an accredited institution (ABD candidates considered if degree is conferred by appointment).
• Current, unencumbered RN and/or APRN license in Texas.
• Demonstrated record of high‑quality teaching and leadership capability.
• Potential to establish a funded research program.

• Expertise in nursing practice and clinical education.
• Ability to work effectively with interprofessional groups and community partners.
