Assistant Professor – Clinical Pediatrics (Allergy & Immunology)

About the role

The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine seeks a full‑time Assistant Professor on the clinical educator track to join its Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Allergy, and Immunology. The role combines patient care, teaching, and research in pediatric allergy and immunology.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical services for pediatric allergy, asthma, eczema, food allergy, and primary immunodeficiency patients.
• Supervise and educate fellows, residents, and medical students in clinical and research settings.
• Develop and conduct original clinical or translational research, seeking extramural funding.
• Collaborate with the Bone Marrow Transplant program and the Jeffrey Modell Diagnostic Center for primary immunodeficiency.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams for asthma management and immunotherapy.

Required profile

• MD or MD/PhD, board‑certified or board‑eligible in Pediatric Allergy/Immunology.
• Demonstrated expertise in pediatric allergy and immunology clinical care.
• Strong interest in research and ability to obtain grant funding.
• Commitment to teaching and mentorship of trainees.

Required skills

• Clinical proficiency in allergy skin testing, immunotherapy, asthma management, and primary immunodeficiency diagnosis.
• Experience with IVIG/SCIG therapy, genetic testing, and penicillin skin testing.
• Research methodology, data analysis, and grant writing.
