Assistant Professor – Clinical Hospital Medicine

About the role

The University of Miami seeks a full‑time Assistant Professor on the Clinical track to join its Division of Hospital Medicine. The role involves delivering high‑quality inpatient care to adult patients and contributing to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient care to adult non‑surgical patients on medical and surgical services.
• Offer inpatient and outpatient consultations across a variety of clinical settings.
• Coordinate internal medicine subspecialty care and telephone consultations for non‑service unit patients.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and committee work.
• Engage in medical student, resident, and fellow education.
• Lead an academic project in education, quality and safety, or division administration.

Required profile

• Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine.
• MD or DO degree from an ABIM‑recognized internal medicine residency program.
• Unrestricted Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Completion of an ABIM‑recognized internal medicine residency.
