Assistant Professor – Academic Clinician in General Pediatrics

About the role

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of General Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine are recruiting multiple Assistant Professors on a non‑tenure academic clinician track. The position blends patient care, teaching, and scholarly activity in general pediatrics.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality inpatient and outpatient pediatric care.
• Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Lead or contribute to initiatives in medical education, quality improvement, patient safety, health‑services research, clinical outcomes research, or medical informatics.
• Participate in departmental academic activities, including curriculum development and scholarly publications.

Required profile

• MD or equivalent degree.
• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Pediatrics.
• Demonstrated expertise or strong interest in at least one of the following areas: medical education, quality improvement, patient safety, health‑services research, clinical outcomes research, or medical informatics.
• Commitment to teaching and clinical excellence.
