Assistant Men's Volleyball Coach

About the role

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore is seeking a full‑time Assistant Men’s Volleyball Coach to support the Head Coach in delivering a competitive Division I program. This twelve‑month exempt position offers the chance to develop student‑athletes on and off the court.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in all phases of the men’s volleyball program, including practice planning and game strategy.
• Provide on‑court coaching, player development, and skill instruction.
• Support recruiting efforts, schedule coordination, and team organization.
• Monitor academic progress of student‑athletes and ensure compliance with NCAA regulations.
• Order equipment, manage inventory, and oversee related staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated commitment to NCAA compliance and student‑athlete welfare.
• Strong communication skills with students, faculty, alumni, and the public.
• Ability to work in varied physical conditions and lift heavy equipment.

Required skills

• Video editing and game‑preparation capabilities.
