About the role

Abercrombie Kids is hiring an Assistant Manager for its Washington Square store in Tigard, Oregon. This is a multi-faceted role combining business strategy, operations, creativity and people management. Assistant managers drive sales results through analysis of the business and best-in-class customer service, oversee daily store operations including opening and closing routines, and act as talent leaders from recruiting and training to engagement and development. The company promotes from within.

Key responsibilities

• Perform opening and closing routines
• Supervise the sales floor and stockroom, ensuring excellent customer service and seamless operations
• Handle staffing and scheduling, and manage payroll
• Train and develop non-management staff
• Demonstrate product knowledge and brand awareness while driving sales
• Build and maintain visual displays
• Analyze reporting to inform decisions
• Protect store assets and perform inventory control
• Operate register and point-of-sale systems
• Fulfill omnichannel orders
• Represent the brand and embody company culture and values

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or one year of supervisory experience in a customer-facing role
• Strong customer focus and knowledge of current fashion trends
• Strong work ethic and drive to achieve results
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, team-building and coaching ability
• Ability to balance multiple tasks, take initiative and work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
