Assistant Manager - The SoNo Collection, Abercrombie Kids

About the role

Abercrombie & Fitch is hiring an Assistant Manager for The SoNo Collection at its Abercrombie Kids store in Norwalk. The role combines business strategy, operations, creativity and people management: driving sales through customer service, overseeing daily store operations, and leading the team from recruiting and training to engagement and development. It is built on a promote-from-within philosophy.

Key responsibilities

• Perform opening and closing routines.
• Supervise the sales floor and stockroom, ensuring excellent customer service and smooth operations.
• Handle staffing and scheduling, payroll management and train and develop non-management staff.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and brand awareness while driving sales.
• Build and maintain visual displays and analyze reporting to inform decisions.
• Protect store assets, run inventory control and operate register and point-of-sale systems.
• Fulfill omnichannel orders and represent the brand and company culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or one year of supervisory experience in a customer-facing role.
• Strong customer focus, knowledge of current fashion trends and a strong work ethic.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, team-building and coaching abilities.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks, take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
