Assistant Manager – Retail (Full-Time)

BoxLunch uses pop‑culture passion to fight hunger, donating a meal to Feeding America for every $10 spent. We are looking for a Full‑Time Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in meeting sales, recruiting and development goals while delivering an engaging, customer‑focused experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in achieving sales and comparable sales targets.
• Recruit, develop and retain a collaborative, passionate team.
• Create buzz and customer engagement through product promotion, social media, BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Provide leadership for operational excellence, balancing delegation, autonomy and customer‑first selling.
• Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours and associate schedules.
• Communicate trends and customer feedback with retail leadership and HQ partners.
• Run sales reports and use data to guide strategies for hitting targets.
• Merchandise the store using planograms and launch promotions on time.
• Partner with the Store Manager to develop high‑performing, customer‑focused associates.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of retail store management experience; passion for philanthropy and pop culture.
• Proven team‑leadership skills with abilities in communication, recruiting, payroll, reporting, scheduling and merchandising.
• Strong time‑management, professionalism and a drive to develop team members.
• Minimum age of 18.
• High school diploma or GED; a degree is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to a fast‑changing retail environment.
• Physical capability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift boxes up to 50 lb.
