About the role

Abercrombie Kids at the Tysons Corner Center is looking for an Assistant Manager. This is a multi-faceted role combining business strategy, operations, creativity and people management. The Assistant Manager drives sales results through analysis of the business and best-in-class customer service, oversees daily store operations including opening and closing routines, and leads recruiting, training, engagement and development. The company promotes from within.

Key responsibilities

• Perform opening and closing routines
• Supervise the sales floor and stockroom, ensuring excellent customer service and seamless operations
• Handle staffing and scheduling, and manage payroll
• Train and develop non-management staff
• Demonstrate product knowledge and brand awareness while driving sales
• Build and maintain visual displays
• Analyze reporting to inform decisions
• Protect store assets and perform inventory control
• Operate register and point-of-sale systems
• Fulfill omnichannel orders
• Represent the brand and embody company culture and values

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or one year of supervisory experience in a customer-facing role
• Strong customer focus and knowledge of current fashion trends
• Strong work ethic and drive to achieve results
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, team-building and coaching ability
• Ability to balance multiple tasks, take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment
