Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

About the role

Discovery Land Company is seeking a full‑time Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to support the maintenance and development of The Hills golf facility in East Quogue, New York. Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent, you will help ensure the course remains in top playing condition while assisting with construction and renovation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support site supervision on golf‑course construction and development projects.
• Maintain a safe, organized jobsite and enforce professional standards.
• Track project schedules, manage subcontractor milestones, and coordinate material procurement.
• Oversee drainage, irrigation, and watering systems to ensure optimal turf health.
• Assist with mowing, fertilization, pest control, and overall turf management.
• Supervise and train department personnel, maintaining accurate work records.
• Collaborate with other departments to align landscape and grounds operations with overall project goals.

Required profile

• Experience in golf‑course maintenance or agronomy.
