Assistant Director of Nursing

About the role

The Division of Developmental Disabilities is hiring a licensed Registered Nurse to serve as Assistant Director of Nursing at the Fox Developmental Center in Dwight, Illinois. The center serves a broad spectrum of individuals with behavioral and medical needs. The position is full time, salaried, Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with a one-hour unpaid lunch, and is fully in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Assistant Director of Nursing and as full-line supervisor.
• Supervise professional and paraprofessional staff, ensuring twenty-four-hour supervisory coverage.
• Direct staff on individuals' needs and on the implementation of treatment plans.
• Review nursing assessments and nursing care plans for completeness, accuracy and appropriateness.
• Conduct on-site audits of each living unit and nursing station to monitor the delivery of nursing and health care services.

Required profile

• Licensed Registered Nurse (special license required).
• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the State does not provide visa sponsorship.
• Bilingual skills are welcome.
• A detailed resume or curriculum vitae is strongly encouraged.

What we offer
