Assistant Director for Online Undergraduate Programs & Nursing Clinical Instructor

About the role

The University of Arkansas seeks an Assistant Director to lead its online undergraduate programs while serving as a Clinical Instructor for nursing students. This dual faculty position combines strategic oversight of virtual curriculum delivery with hands‑on clinical teaching in a non‑tenure track, fixed‑term appointment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and evaluate online undergraduate courses and program structures.
• Supervise faculty and staff involved in online instruction, ensuring quality and compliance with accreditation standards.
• Provide direct clinical instruction, mentorship, and assessment for nursing students in practicum settings.
• Collaborate with university departments, health‑care partners, and accreditation bodies to align curriculum with current nursing practice.
• Manage program budgets, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in Nursing or a related health field.
• Demonstrated experience in online program administration and nursing education.
• Knowledge of nursing clinical practices, licensure requirements, and accreditation processes.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities to manage multiple responsibilities.
