About the role
KPMG is seeking an Assistant Counsel to join its Office of General Counsel, Litigation and Investigations Group. The role focuses on conducting internal investigations, supporting team priorities, and delivering high‑quality investigative outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Execute internal investigations, including document review, data analysis, interviews, and report drafting.
- Manage discrete investigations or workstreams under senior supervision, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm standards.
- Provide day‑to‑day support and informal guidance to junior team members.
- Assist in delivering training sessions on investigative practices and risk awareness.
- Draft clear investigative summaries, maintain case files, and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Support preparation for interactions with regulators or external parties as needed.
Required profile
- Minimum three years of recent experience in investigations, litigation, or related work within a law firm, corporate, or government environment.
- J.D. and/or LL.M. degree.
