Assistant Controller

About the role

The Assistant Controller will partner with the Controller to oversee daily accounting operations and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting. This position plays a key part in strengthening internal controls, ensuring US GAAP compliance, and supporting continuous improvement across the finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing, communicating, and analyzing financial plans, forecasts, and performance models for divisional business units.
• Monitor working capital, inventory, and asset utilization to meet financial and operational goals.
• Prepare financial analyses for capital projects, strategic initiatives, and business case development.
• Analyze variances, trends, and operational KPIs to provide actionable insights.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and revenue recognition.
• Ensure accurate month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.
• Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Support treasury functions such as cash management and banking activities.
• Supervise assigned accounting team members, providing guidance and development.
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Engineering, HR, IT, and data analytics to align financial objectives with business initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA preferred).
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
