Assistant Community Manager (Lease‑Up, High‑Rise)

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager will support the Community Manager in the financial and operational management of a lease‑up, high‑rise residential community. This entry‑level position involves handling daily accounting tasks, rent collection, invoicing, and using property‑management software to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Process invoices from vendors and contractors, code charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts, and obtain Community Manager approval.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite software, entering transactions accurately and performing system backups.
• Review resident files for unpaid balances, communicate with residents on delinquencies, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Prepare monthly close‑out reports, financial statements, and assist with bank reconciliations.
• Follow established eviction procedures, represent the community in court hearings when required.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of related experience in property management, accounting, or real‑estate finance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and internal teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi property‑management software.
• Proficiency with OneSite property‑management software.
