Assistant Community Manager – Elements (San Jose)

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager will support the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational performance of the Elements community in San Jose. This entry‑level position focuses on accounting, rent collection, invoicing, and reporting using property‑management software.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments.
• Prepare daily bank deposits, reconcile accounts, and process invoices and payables.
• Generate monthly close‑out and financial reports for the community.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite software, ensuring accurate data entry and system integrity.
• Review resident files for delinquent balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Review vendor invoices, obtain approvals, code charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts, and coordinate payments.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of related experience in property management, accounting, or a similar field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
