Assistant Clinical Professor, Nursing Practice

About the role

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Texas A&M University‑Corpus Christi seeks a non‑tenure‑track Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing Practice to begin in Spring 2027. This 9‑month faculty appointment involves on‑campus teaching, service, and curriculum implementation for both didactic and clinical components of the Family Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs.

Key responsibilities

• Teach nursing courses, skills labs, and simulation sessions.
• Provide student advising, mentorship, and supervision of clinical placements and DNP projects.
• Participate in curriculum development, accreditation processes, and program assessment.
• Engage in scholarly activities, committee work, and community partnership initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Current, unencumbered RN and/or APRN license in Texas (or eligibility at hire).
• Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC).

Required skills

• Knowledge of curriculum development and NONPF competencies for nurse practitioners.
• Experience with program coordination, student progress monitoring, and accreditation.
• Familiarity with web‑based course delivery and online teaching best practices.
