About the role

The Assistant Cadre Leader MSG supports the Georgia Youth Challenge Program at Fort Stewart, providing mentorship and leadership to at‑risk youth in a structured, military‑style environment. This position works closely with the Cadre Leader to ensure smooth operation of the residential academy.

Key responsibilities

• Assume Cadre Leader responsibilities in their absence, overseeing all platoon activities and subordinate personnel.
• Plan, supervise, and execute all events during the assigned shift while maintaining the Platoon Log Book in accordance with established procedures.
• Supervise and monitor activities during the 2nd Shift (2 pm – 11 pm).
• Assist in enforcing YCA policies and procedures among cadets and staff.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED.
• Four (4) years of honorable military service.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and model appropriate behavior for cadets.
