Assistant Attorney General – Medicaid Fraud (Criminal)

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking an Assistant Attorney General to lead criminal prosecutions involving fraud against the Georgia Medicaid program. This full‑time position works within the Medicaid Fraud Division, supporting investigations and litigation that protect public resources and vulnerable patients.

Key responsibilities

• Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team to investigate allegations of Medicaid fraud.
• Investigate patient abuse, neglect, or exploitation when required.
• Assist in joint federal‑state investigations and potential litigation in federal district courts.
• Collaborate with state and federal law‑enforcement partners.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Department of Law.

Required profile

• Graduation from an accredited law school.
• Member of the Georgia Bar.
• Preference for attorneys with felony criminal trial experience, especially in white‑collar or financial crimes.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
