Asset Manager - Data Center Infrastructure
Bitdeer Technologies Group
Job description
About the role
Bitdeer, a technology company for AI and Bitcoin mining infrastructure, is expanding its digital infrastructure across Ohio around its 221 MW Massillon data center, with a 570 MW facility in Clarington and another 300 MW in Weathersfield Township under development. This individual contributor role takes operational ownership of the regional infrastructure assets, mainly on-site at the Clarington facility during its development phase, supporting the Massillon data center as needed and stepping in for asset oversight in Weathersfield Township. The role works with construction, operations and finance teams under the guidance of the Global Asset Management function.
Key responsibilities
- Enforce asset control requirements on project and construction teams, checking compliance through regular site walk-downs and audits.
- Receive, inspect and secure capital equipment and high-value IT hardware on arrival, and follow up on damage, shortage and overage claims.
- Tag and register assets correctly against the asset hierarchy so they flow into the capital asset record.
- Run cycle counts, investigate variances and reconcile assets.
- Apply export control handling requirements to controlled hardware, including screening checks and records, with Legal and Internal Compliance.
- Ensure clean project handovers to site teams, checking the handover package against HQ documentation and contract deliverables.
- Maintain accurate asset records so Finance can capitalize assets on time, and escalate non-compliance to site leadership and Asset Management.
Required profile
- Around 5 years in inventory control, material control, warehousing or asset management, ideally on a construction, industrial or critical-facilities site.
- Experience running physical counts and reconciliations, and receiving and handling capital equipment or serialized assets.
- Export control or trade compliance exposure, and data center or mission-critical infrastructure experience.
- Fixed asset accounting or audit support experience, or military/government property accountability background.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship and willingness to travel.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of an ERP, CMMS or WMS system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Maximo).
- Good Excel skills.
- Careful, documented approach and confidence to hold others to a process.
What we offer
- Competitive salary and bonus opportunities.
- Medical, dental and vision coverage, 401K and company ESOP, with most costs covered by the employer, including dependents.
- Long-term disability, basic term life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
- Training and mentoring, and an inclusive, fast-growing environment.
