Asset Management Associate

About the role

The Asset Management Associate supports Greystar’s multifamily development portfolio by analyzing financial performance, market trends, and transaction processes. This role blends financial modeling, market research, and stakeholder coordination to enhance asset returns.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis of multifamily development assets, creating detailed pro‑forma and Excel‑based financial models.
• Gather, compile, and analyze market data to identify trends; prepare narrative memoranda, detailed reports, and market summaries.
• Collaborate on investment committee memos, financing or disposition recommendations, and updates on existing development assets.
• Establish and maintain relationships with local brokers, institutional partners, lenders, regional property management, and other stakeholders; manage communications related to development transactions.
• Develop documentation and recommendations on findings that may affect asset return and financial performance.
• Organize and lead the disposition process, including broker coordination and due‑diligence of assets under contract.
• Perform valuation analysis and produce recommendations based on key findings.
• Monitor and report on the status of sales transactions and new product deliveries within the assigned region.
• Set critical timelines, identify potential issues, and work to resolve them to ensure successful closings.
• Partner with internal teams and external parties to implement process improvements that increase revenue and reduce operating expenses.
