Assembly First Level Manager

About the role

The Assembly First Level Manager at Airbus Aerosystems Kinston leads a team on the shop floor, overseeing assembly of complex aerostructures for the Airbus A350 XWB, ensuring production meets requirements and customer acceptance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team in the GMF assembly area to assemble complex aerostructures, meeting production schedules and customer acceptance.
• Oversee component assembly, structural joining, system installation, and testing using mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment.
• Interface with engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to ensure product requirements are met.
• Develop solutions to complex problems, driving ingenuity and creativity.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including leadership/management roles.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 4 years of experience.
• Experience working with cross‑functional groups (Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining, etc.).
• US citizenship and ability to travel up to 5% domestically/internationally.
