ASN Clinical Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a part‑time Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Clinical Instructor to guide nursing students across all campuses and clinical sites. This role blends hands‑on patient care with educational mentorship, ensuring students develop critical clinical competencies in a safe learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and instruct students in clinical and simulation lab settings.
• Conduct orientation for clinical sites and simulation equipment.
• Facilitate development of critical thinking, decision‑making, communication, and professional skills while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.
• Lead pre‑ and post‑clinical conferences and evaluate student performance.
• Collaborate with course faculty to align learning outcomes and provide feedback on site adequacy.
• Complete required documentation, credentialing, and mandatory training.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum three years of nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Ability to work across multiple campuses and clinical sites.
• Commitment to student mentorship and continuous teaching improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EHR Tutor.
• Experience using ATI assessment tools.
• Familiarity with ACEMAPP credentialing platform.
• Knowledge of CAE LearningSpace simulation software.
