Armed Security Site Supervisor

About the role

Allied Universal Services is looking for an Armed Security Site Supervisor in Honolulu, Hawaii. The supervisor coordinates the delivery of quality security services to an assigned customer and acts as a liaison between customers, operation managers and security officers. The role pays $38 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise site staff and provide coaching, recognition and discipline within the approved empowerment range
• Act as a liaison between customers, operation managers and security officers
• Ensure officers receive appropriate training and develop their technical and professional skills
• Handle employee grievances with the support of branch or region HR
• Communicate staffing needs to the operation manager, including using the requisition process and helping identify and interview candidates
• Use scheduling and billing software to produce reports such as scheduling activity and training detail reports
• Deal with the public, judiciary staff, law enforcement and security personnel courteously

Required profile

• At least 21 years old, with a high school diploma or GED
• Valid Hawaii driver's license and meets HRS Chapter 463 security guard licensing requirements
• Complete fingerprint-based background investigation and drug screen; legally eligible to carry a firearm with a current license and qualification
• One of: 2 years of honorable U.S. Armed Forces service, or 1 year of full-duty law enforcement experience with good standing
• Sound judgment, maturity and ability to make decisions under stress
• Effective verbal and written English communication
• Able to work in cold, rainy or hot conditions, stand or walk for long periods, climb stairs and lift up to 40 pounds

Required skills

• Basic computer, clerical, recordkeeping and typing skills
• Intermediate computer skills to operate wireless technology at client sites
• Physical capability for emergency response, use of screening equipment, CCTV, handcuffs, baton and firearm
