Armed Security Officer - Part-Time Patrol & Deescalation

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, offers a part-time, armed security officer position in Atlanta, GA, focused on patrol and deescalation at a financial institution. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site, with the option to pick up extra shifts through a claim-a-shift program. Pay is $20.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors and employees while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies and emergency response activities at a financial institution.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances and perimeter to identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious behaviour or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site procedures.
• Carry authorised equipment in line with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policy and site orders.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required before employment, depending on state and local law.

Preferred qualifications

• Access control and badge experience.
• CPR and first aid certification.
• Customer service experience.
• A valid driver's licence is required only for driving positions.
