Armed Security Officer - Customer Care (Part-Time)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Armed Security Officer in Atlanta, GA. The officer serves and safeguards clients in sectors such as financial institutions by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, supporting access control and responding to security concerns. The schedule is day time, Wednesday to Friday from 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors and employees while carrying out security procedures, site policies and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of banking locations, parking areas, ATMs, entry points and perimeter areas.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms and critical situations, notifying personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorisation according to site procedures and document incidents and unusual observations.
• Carry and maintain assigned duty equipment in line with laws, licensing requirements, company policies and site procedures.

Required profile

• At least two years of security-related experience; customer service experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred; comfort using a computer or tablet and access control/badge experience preferred.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles; high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
