Area Vice President, Customer Base Sales

About the role

Dayforce is seeking an Area Vice President to lead Customer Base Sales across North America. This quota‑carrying executive will drive revenue growth for enterprise, major, and emerging customers, overseeing a team of Divisional Vice Presidents.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet software and profitability targets.
• Lead all new sales activities in the customer‑base segment, building pipeline coverage and leveraging marketing, partner, and customer‑success teams.
• Provide accurate forecasting, budgeting, and ensure effective use of sales‑force automation tools.
• Engage in deal strategy, execution, and contract negotiations while collaborating with services, marketing, ecosystem, advisory, and customer‑success functions.
• Maintain executive‑level relationships, drive expansions, upsells, and renewals, and ensure seamless customer transitions.
• Set, track, and report sales performance metrics in line with the sales playbook.

Required profile

• Proven senior sales leadership experience in enterprise SaaS or HCM solutions.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a direct‑sales environment.
• Strong executive‑level relationship building and negotiation skills.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
