Area Sales Manager - Water Damage Restoration

About the role

ServiceMaster of Charleston is looking for an Area Sales Manager (Business Development Representative) in the North Charleston market. The company handles the restoration operation; you build the relationships that bring work to it. You will prospect and develop referrals face-to-face with insurance professionals, property managers, plumbers, roofers, HVAC companies, contractors and other partners, turning relationships into revenue. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new referral relationships throughout the Charleston market
• Build and manage your own network of qualified accounts
• Meet business owners and professionals face-to-face and learn how they handle restoration opportunities
• Ask the right questions instead of using canned sales pitches, and follow up consistently
• Maintain and grow existing relationships and build a reputation as a trusted resource in your territory
• Manage your pipeline and relationships through the CRM

Required profile

• Natural ability to connect with people and confidence in unfamiliar environments
• High energy, prefers being in the field rather than behind a desk
• Competitive, persistent and able to hear "no" without losing momentum
• Owns results, stays organized as the network grows, and implements feedback
• Patience to build something substantial; sales experience is valuable but not required

What we offer

• Pay of $45,000 to $87,000 per year, with uncapped commission potential
