About the role

As an Area Sales Manager for H&M in Los Angeles, you will lead a group of stores, working closely with store managers to drive strong business results, ensure a best‑in‑class customer experience, and uphold operational excellence aligned with H&M’s global values.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and inspire store teams to reach sales and profit goals.
• Recruit, develop, and secure succession for future store leaders using the MAKI tool.
• Ensure all stores follow H&M standards, routines, and policies.
• Act as the primary contact for store escalations and problem‑solving.
• Be accountable for financial targets and monitor KPIs to improve performance.
• Drive local sales and commercial activities while aligning with global strategies.
• Oversee rollouts of new store concepts, campaigns, and initiatives.
• Collaborate with HR, Expansion, Tech, Visual and other functions for smooth operations.
• Minimize reductions, scraping, and shrinkage.
• Support sustainability actions in line with H&M goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience managing multiple retail stores.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to coach and develop teams.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to analyse and act on KPIs.
• Experience ensuring compliance with operational standards.
• Ability to lead change, such as new store openings or rollouts.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
