Architectural Designer

About the role

FXCollaborative is seeking an experienced Architectural Designer to join its multidisciplinary team in Brooklyn. The role involves contributing to a wide range of projects—from corporate and civic buildings to residential and mixed‑use developments—while upholding the firm’s commitment to sustainable design.

Key responsibilities

• Develop conceptual designs and produce advanced graphic representations.
• Support design teams through all project phases, from pre‑schematic studies to construction documents.
• Conduct programming, zoning, massing, orientation, and design research.
• Prepare presentation materials, renderings, and client‑facing documents.
• Create scale drawings, 3‑D models, sketches, illustrations, and physical models to convey design intent.
• Research materials, products, and furnishings aligned with project goals.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of professional architectural experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (required).
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Highly motivated self‑starter with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Experience with SketchUp and Enscape.
• Competence in Bluebeam and AutoCAD.
• Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite.
