Architectural Designer I – Innovative Design Role

About the role

Perkins Eastman is seeking a creative Architectural Designer I to join its global design practice. The role focuses on developing innovative architectural solutions, translating concepts into detailed drawings, layouts, and visual presentations for projects of moderate size and complexity.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to create bold architectural concepts and develop them into drawings, models, and presentations.
• Produce schematic proposals, layouts, and 3D design models using Revit or other digital tools.
• Explore design options through hand sketches, diagrams, and iterative modeling.
• Develop architectural drawings, plans, and specifications, and conduct planning and occupancy studies.
• Analyze design concepts, evaluate alternatives, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Participate in design reviews and support senior architects in client presentations.

Required profile

• Passion for innovative architectural design and strong critical thinking.
• Ability to work on moderate‑size projects and take ownership of key design tasks.
• Effective collaboration skills with senior architects and multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit or comparable 3D modeling software.
• Experience with architectural drafting and creating construction documents.
• Ability to produce hand sketches and conceptual diagrams.
