Architectural Department Manager

About the role

Amentum Nuclear Projects, a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy and many commercial nuclear companies, is seeking an Architectural Department Manager to support its nuclear projects. You will lead a group of architects and designers to complete the technical portions of projects within established scopes, budgets and schedules. The work is based in Oak Ridge, TN, with occasional business travel.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited architectural program and Registered Architect.
• Licensed Architect in Tennessee with current registration, or licensed in another state with the ability to obtain Tennessee licensure within six months.
• Experience designing commercial and industrial facilities and delivering projects from concept through detailed design completion.
• U.S. citizenship required; valid driver's license required.
• Preferred: DOE Q clearance, NCARB registration, Master's degree, LEED AP certification, DOE experience, and experience facilitating charrettes.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC) and specifications.
• Knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application and manufacturer-supplier selection.
• Follows established quality procedures and works within ISO 9000 or NQA-1 quality systems.
• Discipline-specific software such as Revit, AutoCAD or MicroStation, and Microsoft Office.

• Salary range of $117,000 - $242,000.
